The purpose of this role is to identify, manage, and report on ESG-related projects and current pipeline initiatives.
Responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, monitoring ongoing projects such as Bio Carbon testing, CO gas to ethanol conversion, and liquid ammonium sulphate to fertilizer conversion, while ensuring successful project execution, reporting, and closure. The incumbent will also gather and present ESG data, calculate emissions, and benchmark performance with industry standards, supporting the annual ESG report and sustainability goals.
- Analyze and recommend ESG related projects designed to advance sustainability objectives, align with organizational goals, and deliver measurable impact
- Manage the monitoring, and completion of ESG projects, track progress, address challenges, and focus on delivering sustainable outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive ESG reports that align with standards, ensure compliance, and meet stakeholder expectations, while contributing to the annual ESG report
- Conduct emissions measurements and calculations to accurately assess environmental impact, ensuring reliable data for reporting, benchmarking, and strategic decision-making.
- Conduct benchmark performance against industry standards, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for improvement in alignment with best practices.

REQUIREMENT:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Project Management/Environmental/ Civil/ Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in Project management or heavy industrial environmental engineering field.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, the incumbent is
responsible to control the submerged arc furnace process and its associated
auxiliary processes and -equipment, on a shift basis, ensuring its smooth and
safe operation to achieve the desired outputs, through:
- Safety management – Follow- and suggest improvements
on safe operating procedures and standards.
- Process management – Understanding, problem-solving
and taking corrective action on process/equipment deviations to maximize
equipment throughput, efficiency, availability and utilization.
- Collaboration & Communication – Effectively and
clearly communicate and collaborate with own team and other departments to
sustain a stable operating environment.
- Feedback & Reporting – Conduct effective inspections and follow up on deviations. Data capturing and evaluation of management system and operational log-sheets.
- Process and systems improvement – Evaluate and suggest
improvement opportunities to play a role in the ongoing success of the
business.
